She's off to a wedding today, but I'd still like to wish [profile] funkyinfishnet a very, very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day and a fabulous birthday weekend, [profile] funkyinfishnet! :-D And, as you're a big Doctor Who fan, these birthday wishes somehow seemed appropriate:

I only just realized (thanks to an email from the BBC Doctor Who Official Shop) that today is the tenth anniversary of New Doctor Who, which debuted on March 26, 2005. I can't believe it's been ten years! I still remember tuning in to watch that first episode, excited but trepidatious after the previous attempt to resurrect the franchise (that awful 1996 TV movie). Happily, I didn't have to get too far into the episode before I realized that New Who was good. Really, really, really good. Thank Rassilon! )

Spoilers, obviously. )

Thanks to [ profile] alysscarlet, I was able to watch Peter Davison's HILARIOUS and absolutely priceless Doctor Who fiftieth anniversary spoof sooner than I expected. It's 30 minutes and features a lot of familiar faces. In fact, I was amazed at the number of cameos, all of which were GOLD. Anywaaaaaay, it's called The Five(ish) Doctors (in case you hadn't heard), and you can find it here:

The BIG day is finally here! The day we all many of us have been waiting for...Doctor Who is now 50 years old! Woo hoo! :-D To celebrate this momentous occasion, here's my favourite Doctor Who song -- "Doctorin' the Tardis" by The Timelords:

I hope all you Whovians enjoy "The Day of the Doctor"! Unfortunately, I'll be out when it's broadcast, so I'll have to tape it. However, I'll be having lunch with old friends, which seems like a very Doctorish thing to do. Besides, I'm usually thrilled if I can see a new episode on the same day it airs in Britain, so I don't know what I'm complaining about. *g*

You're not going to believe it, flisters, but I've received another postcard from a
Time Lord! Oh, and it's not just any Time Lord, but my favourite Doctor! Tee hee! :-D

It's so sweet that the Fifth Doctor cares. And as his postcard also has a Canadian stamp on it, I'm assuming he either asked a good and kind-hearted Canadian (and quite very possibly a friend of mine) to mail it on his behalf. Then, of course, he could have infiltrated Canada Post (child's play for a Time Lord, I'm sure) or maybe he even travelled here and sent the postcard himself...Well, however the Fifth Doctor managed it, I'm very grateful for the postcard from him (and any accomplices). Thank you very much, Doctor! :-D

I decided to throw all of my decent (and not-so-decent) pictures from Reversed Polarity in a Photobucket album. This album includes all of the pictures from my last post, but there are also photos I held back. In some cases, I held them back because they were a bit blurry or just not as nice. However, there are some that just didn't make it because I was lazy or already had another shot of the same subject. I believe my pictures have been arranged by filename, so the order is a bit wonky. If, after all this, you're still interested, you can visit the album by clicking on the TARDIS below:

A HUMONGOUS thank you to the very kind friend who sent me this wonderful postcard! It was a very pleasant (and totally unexpected) surprise! And what a perfect way to Harold herald the fiftieth anniversary of Doctor Who! Click here to VOTE SAXON! )

Title: Never Cry Werewolf
Author: Rusty Armour
Summary: As is so often the case in September, a mysterious threat is, uh, threatening to threaten the harmonious balance the peace and tranquility of [ profile] rusty_armour ’s apartment. Again. Uh, apparently I’m incapable of generating new plots, but recycling is good – for the environment, anyway. *g*
Category: Gen with just the lightest touch of slash. And Action Figure fic, of course. Crossover of Teen Wolf, Enterprise, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who (sort of), Primeval (sort of) and Sherlock Holmes.
Rating: Pretty much gen.
Spoilers: Possibly some very minor ones in terms of Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek canon. Oh, and The Forsyte Saga.
Disclaimer: With a few exceptions, these characters aren’t mine. They’re owned by smarter, richer people. It’s totally not worth it to sue me. I’m just an editor.
Notes: Here’s my annual offering for [ profile] jackycomelately’s birthday. I’m posting it more than a week early because I’ll be away on [ profile] jackycomelately’s special day. I’m not sure if this is up to my usual standard of lunacy, but I hope the birthday girl will still manage to get something out of it.

Happy EARLY Birthday, jackycomelately! )

Before I say anything, I just want to thank [ profile] njc2007 and [ profile] lazigyrl for asking me to attend Polaris (again) and for being such warm and generous friends! I had an absolutely wonderful time and I'm sure they were the main reason for that! :-D MASSIVE geekfest ahead. )

And many happy returns! )
