Title: Thrall
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Pairing: Guy of Gisburne/Robin of Loxley; Guy of Gisburne/Baphomet
Characters: Guy of Gisburne, Robin of Loxley, Herne the Hunter, Baphomet
Category: Slash, rape/non-con, post-ep
Rating: NC-17
Warning: This story contains non-consensual sexual acts and dark themes.
Word Count: 5,752
Summary: Gisburne survives the battle at the preceptory only to realize that death might have been a better alternative.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for The Knights of the Apocalypse and references made to “The Witch of Elsdon,” “Alan A Dale,” “Lord of the Trees,” “The Enchantment,” and “The Greatest Enemy.”
Notes: This is the IOU Gisburne/Loxley fic that I finally finished writing for [profile] raven714’s birthday. It’s a very belated present. *g* I don’t think this is what [profile] raven714 was expecting, and I apologize for that. I often get carried away when writing fic, but this story is much darker, twisted, and kinkier than I’d anticipated. Please read the rating and warning carefully if you haven’t done so already. There may be readers who hate this story or find it offensive. I would just like to remind those readers that this is fanfic, not canon. You don’t have to accept the story.

I should definitely give credit where credit is due. When writing a certain scene, I was very much inspired by [personal profile] fredbassett’s Dark and Dirty (which is part of her Primeval Stephen/Ryan series). Anyone who’s read Dark and Dirty will know the scene when they come across it. *g*

This takes place shortly after The Knights of the Apocalypse.

Disclaimer: This story is based on Richard Carpenter's series Robin of Sherwood. The characters are the property of Richard Carpenter, Robin May, Anthony Horowitz and the RoS production team. This is also based on “The Knights of the Apocalypse” audio adventure, which was based on an original script by Richard Carpenter, directed by Robert Young and produced by Barnaby Eaton-Jones, not to mention the novel written by Jonathan Green.

Title: The Earl’s Son (2/2)
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Robert of Huntingdon, Nasir, Edward of Wickham, Alison of Wickham, Matthew of Wickham
Category: General, drama, post-eppy
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,622
Summary: Robin has a revelation about his father and is forced to confront the emotions he’s been trying to suppress.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for The Knights of the Apocalypse, “The Sheriff of Nottingham” and “The Time of the Wolf”. Otherwise, there are just spoilers for the series in general.
Notes: I wrote this for [personal profile] karen9’s birthday. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with Robin’s view of his relationship with his father in “The Knights of the Apocalypse,” so I decided to explore this subject. I thought I’d have a better picture of the Huntingdon father/son relationship by the end of this story, but I just came away with more questions. I don’t think there are any clear answers. This story is just one interpretation – an interpretation based on pure supposition.

This takes place shortly after The Knights of the Apocalypse.

Title: The Earl’s Son (1/2)
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Robert of Huntingdon, Nasir, Edward of Wickham, Alison of Wickham, Matthew of Wickham
Category: General, drama, post-eppy
Rating: PG
Word Count: 853
Summary: Robin has a revelation about his father and is forced to confront the emotions he’s been trying to suppress.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for The Knights of the Apocalypse, “The Sheriff of Nottingham” and “The Time of the Wolf”. Otherwise, there are just spoilers for the series in general.
Notes: I wrote this for [personal profile] karen9’s birthday. I had intended to post the whole story on this special occasion, but I just ran out of time. While most of the fic has been written, the remaining scenes are a bit rough and I’d like to have a bit more time to revise them. I’m aiming to post the conclusion by next weekend. I’m hoping it will be worth the wait.

This takes place shortly after The Knights of the Apocalypse.

Title: The Final Resolution
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: Sherlock, John, Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade, Mycroft, Molly, Mary (sort of), Moriarty (sort of)
Category: Parody, Humour, Slash (mild Mystrade)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3,280
Summary: When Sherlock notices that his world is starting to unravel, he questions the very fabric of reality.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for “The Final Problem,” not to mention “His Last Vow,” “The Six Thatchers” and “The Lying Detective”. Some more general spoilers for the series as a whole.
Notes: It seems strange to write a 3,000 + word fic revolving around “The Final Problem” when I refused to waste even a minute writing an episode review. However, the parody!muse just wouldn’t leave me alone, so I had to write this. I guess it was my way of coming to terms with “The Final Problem”. Parts of this ended up being more serious than I intended, but I think these moments contribute to the overall theme of the story – as pretentious as that may sound. If you enjoyed “The Final Problem” (and the fourth series in general), you probably shouldn’t read this fic. *g*

I wrote this in two days and didn’t have a beta. Apologies if it shows.

I've now changed the title of this story slightly because a reader pointed out that the phrase "the final solution" has terrible historical associations with it. I should have been more sensitive when I was considering this story's title and I apologize for any unintentional offence that I might have caused.

Disclaimer: With great power comes great responsibility. Thankfully, I have neither. Sherlock and its characters are owned by other people, though I feel fortunate to have been allowed to play in this wonderful sandbox.

Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Sir Guy of Gisburne, Marion of Leaford
Category: General, drama, post-eppy
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,630
Summary: Gisburne runs into some interesting obstacles when he tries to arrest Marion at Halstead Priory.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for “The Time of the Wolf” and “The Cross of St. Ciricus”.
Notes: This story is a birthday present for [profile] raven714, which is fitting because I was originally inspired by this piece of fanart that [profile] raven714 created:

It only took, like, two months, but I finally finished writing [profile] raven714’s birthday fic. As so often happens, this story ended up being longer and more complicated than I expected – probably because I was working with such a wonderfully evocative image. However, I had a lot of fun and found the whole process very satisfying.

This takes place a couple of weeks after “The Time of the Wolf”.

Disclaimer: This story is based on Richard Carpenter's series Robin of Sherwood. The characters are the property of Richard Carpenter, Robin May, Anthony Horowitz and the RoS production team.

Title: Muninn (1.5/2)
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Sir Guy of Gisburne, Marion of Leaford
Category: General, drama, post-eppy
Rating: PG
Word Count: 998
Summary: Gisburne runs into some interesting obstacles when he tries to arrest Marion at Halstead Priory.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for “The Time of the Wolf” and “The Cross of St. Ciricus”.
Notes: This story is a birthday present for [profile] raven714, which is fitting because I was originally inspired by this piece of fanart that [profile] raven714 created:

I thought I’d better cheat a little and post Part 1.5 as I’ve made poor [profile] raven714 (and my other kind readers) wait at least a month and a half without some kind of cliffhanger resolution. I honestly hadn’t meant for it to take this long, but the end of April until about mid-May is a busy time for me on the social calendar because of different family occasions, etc. I also found myself looking at an apartment at the end of May and then dealing with the paperwork that a rental application entails – not to mention giving my notice and scrambling to clean my place before my super came to inspect it. Anywaaaaaaaay, I’m going to try to post the conclusion to this story before I move at the end of July. I have written beyond what has been posted, but I don’t want to rush the ending. I’m really hoping to get it right. Of course, what I’ve written won’t be right after The Knights of the Apocalypse is released, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. *g*

This takes place a couple of weeks after “The Time of the Wolf”.

Disclaimer: This story is based on Richard Carpenter's series Robin of Sherwood. The characters are the property of Richard Carpenter, Robin May, Anthony Horowitz and the RoS production team.

Just a quick update about Muninn for poor [profile] raven714 and my other unfortunate readers. The story hasn't been forgotten. In fact, I'm going to post an in-between installment (we'll call it Part 1.5) on either Saturday or Sunday. I'm sorry. I know it's not the complete conclusion, but I'm hoping it will help tide you over until the whole fic is done. Apologies again and thanks for your patience, everyone! :-)

Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Sir Guy of Gisburne, Marion of Leaford
Category: General, drama, post-eppy
Rating: PG
Word Count: 907
Summary: Gisburne runs into some interesting obstacles when he tries to arrest Marion at Halstead Priory.
Spoilers: Definite spoilers for “The Time of the Wolf”. More spoilers to come with the concluding installment.
Notes: This story is a birthday present for [profile] raven714, which is fitting because I was originally inspired by this piece of fanart that [profile] raven714 created:

I’ll freely admit that this fic doesn’t do [profile] raven714’s artwork justice, especially as I’m still working on it. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but those thousand words (or, in this case, 907) are not this story! *g* I hope [profile] raven714 manages to enjoy it all the same. I’ll try not to keep her waiting too long for the conclusion.

This takes place a couple of weeks after “The Time of the Wolf”.

Title: Boscage
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Robert of Huntingdon, Sir Guy of Gisburne
Category: General, mystical, adventure
Rating: PG
Word Count: 2369
Summary: Robin and Gisburne find themselves in an unknown dungeon with no idea of who has captured them or why.
Spoilers: Slight spoilers for “The Swords of Wayland,” “The Prophecy,” “The Power of Albion” and “The Time of the Wolf” and more significant spoilers for “The Lord of the Trees,” “The Enchantment” and “The Greatest Enemy”.
Notes: I decided this year to share a little extra birthday love and give a some fic to both [personal profile] avictoriangirl and [personal profile] karen9 as they’re both RoS/Robert of Huntingdon fans and their birthdays fall so closely together. Many happy returns to you both and may Herne protect you!

This takes place some time after “The Time of the Wolf”.

[profile] raven714 was kind enough to give me two pieces of RoS artwork for Christmas. One of those pieces is this beautiful cover art for Children of the Wheel:

I don't think anyone's ever created cover art for me before, so I'm thrilled to have this. I'm especially happy as it's for Children of the Wheel, one of the stories that is closest to my heart. :-)

Title: The Feint (2/2)
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Sir Guy of Gisburne, Robert of Huntingdon, Tuck, Little John
Category: General, adventure
Rating: PG
Word Count: 2943
Summary: Some plans are more foolproof than others.
Spoilers: Brief nods to “The Witch of Elsdon” and “The Greatest Enemy” and more significant spoilers for “Herne’s Son,” Parts 1 & 2 and “The Time of the Wolf”.
Notes: It only took a year, but I finally wrote a conclusion for this story, which was originally published in Addie Faction’s RA Magazine. Call it laziness if you will, but I wrote the first installment quickly and always planned for it to end on a cliffhanger. Not surprisingly, most readers weren’t happy about that, and at least a few people asked me to continue the story. I stubbornly refused, determined to stick with the cliffhanger ending. Of course, the main reason I refused was because I had no idea how to conclude the story. Then, one day, not that long ago, a possible solution to the cliffhanger dilemma came to me and I decided to run with it. I doubt it’s the best solution. I’m not even sure if it’s a good solution. However, it’s all I’ve got and it’s not like anyone else ever offered any suggestions. *g* Anywaaaaaaaay, I hope this long-awaited conclusion will suffice and not be too disappointing…

This takes place some time after “The Time of the Wolf”.

Title: The Peculiar Incident of the Rhinoceros on the Downs
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes - ACD
Characters: Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Mrs. Hudson (sort of)
Category: Comedy, parody
Rating: General
Word Count: 2942
Summary: On a visit to the Sussex Downs, Watson begins to question his friend’s sanity when, instead of eliminating the impossible, Sherlock Holmes seems to be embracing it. Spoilers: Fairly big spoilers for “The Adventure of the Lion’s Mane” and “The Adventure of the Speckled Band” and passing references to A Study in Scarlet and “The Adventure of the Dying Detective”.
Notes: Apologies in advance for this story. I was re-reading “The Adventure of the Lion’s Mane” when the parody muse decided to strike. It was Fitzroy McPherson’s dying words that did it and the idea just wouldn’t leave me alone after that. I don’t know if anyone will enjoy this silly little fic, but I couldn’t not write it and I certainly had fun in the process. I won’t apologize for that. *g*

I not only consulted the Canon for fact-checking purposes, but relied on William S. Baring-Gould’s Sherlock Holmes of Baker Street: A Life of the World’s First Consulting Detective as well.

Disclaimer: With the exception of the rhinoceros and the two corpses on Holmes’s carpet, none of these characters are mine and I would never, ever, ever even consider claiming them as such. They belong entirely to a vastly superior writer, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Title: The White Stag
Author: Rusty Armour
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood
Characters: Robert of Huntingdon, Herne, Nasir, Will Scarlet, Little John
Category: General, mystical
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1408
Summary: When Robin struggles to decipher his latest vision, he receives help from an unexpected source.
Spoilers: Slight allusion to “The Betrayal”. Otherwise, only references to the show in general.
Notes: This is a birthday present for [personal profile] karen9. I managed to finish the story on time this year because it’s much shorter. I hope [personal profile] karen9 enjoys it.

The idea for the white stag actually came from a synopsis of the Look-In comic strips 1984/25 – 1984/30 provided by Andrew Orton in Hooded Man: Volume Two. In this particular story (titled “The White Stag” by Orton), the outlaws come across a white stag in Sherwood that they try to protect. I loved the idea of the white stag (especially given its association with Herne the Hunter), so I decided to borrow one for this fic. Stole the title as well. *g*

This story takes place some time after “The Time of the Wolf”.
