Today's the BIG Day!!!

The BIG day is finally here! The day we all many of us have been waiting for...Doctor Who is now 50 years old! Woo hoo! :-D To celebrate this momentous occasion, here's my favourite Doctor Who song -- "Doctorin' the Tardis" by The Timelords:

I hope all you Whovians enjoy "The Day of the Doctor"! Unfortunately, I'll be out when it's broadcast, so I'll have to tape it. However, I'll be having lunch with old friends, which seems like a very Doctorish thing to do. Besides, I'm usually thrilled if I can see a new episode on the same day it airs in Britain, so I don't know what I'm complaining about. *g*

It was great fun to see all the reactions for the big event on my flist even though it's not one of my fandoms.

Oh, that's cool. I'm glad your flist didn't disappoint. I know I've been happy with the anniversary coverage on mine. I was particularly impressed with [livejournal.com profile] funkyinfishnet's post (http://funkyinfishnet.livejournal.com/317627.html).

Hopefully it had less vomiting than the lunch!

LOL! I don't think there was any vomiting -- not even from the Zygons. *g*

Did you manage to catch the one you missed yet?

No, I think I'll have to let it go, though SPACE might repeat it at some point. It's also on DVD, though I just want to see it, not own it. Actually, I'm pretty sure I saw "The Aztecs" years ago (e.g. when I was 14 or 15), but I was hoping my parents and brother could see it. They really enjoyed all the other retrospectives. My dad particularly liked the introductions to each of the featured stories. Oh, well. At least I got the Second Doctor. My family will be able to see that. :-)

Hee, love the feet as it scampered to safety!

Yes, I always get a kick out of those feet as well. What's even funnier is that Daleks do move around like that. You just don't see the feet of the controller inside the Dalek most of the time. *g*
