Quite Possibly the Most HILARIOUS Acceptance Speech Ever!

After watching the 2007 Spacey Awards on Sunday night, I was really hoping someone would post a vid of David Hewlett's HILARIOUS acceptance speech for his "Fave TV Character" win. Little did I know that my good friend, bakerybard, had posted a vid of his speech on YouTube. In fact, I wouldn't have known that she'd created a vid (or was now on LJ) if I hadn't run into her on Yonge Street tonight. Although bakerybard created the vid for skull_boy_love, it does contain what could quite possibly be the most HILARIOUS acceptance speech ever:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was almost on the floor the first time I watched it. What makes it even funnier, I think, is the fact that DH sounded so bored and unenthusiastic at first. Then when he "realized" he'd won the award, his whole face lit up and he immediately started screaming in delight. *g*

Stumbled across your lj via sgastoryfinders as someone was looking for your mpreg and just love your icons. Did you make them yourself? I looked at the wording and said, had Canadian (or at least live here at some point) to get some of them. I now have this very distinct music running through my head now, BTW. Love to here the narrative that would go with "the Canadian Astrophysicist" bit.

Er, do you mind if I friend you? Because I don't read WIPs but would like to track progress on the MPREG.

Yes, I did make the icons myself and I'm very flattered that you like them! It's great to find someone who gets the Hinterland reference, though I'm sorry you now have the music and narrative running through your head. I should commission someone to make a Hinterland vid for the "Canadian Astrophysicist". I think it would be hilarious!

BTW I love your "ZED-PEE-EM" icon. That "He's Canadian" line from the pilot always gives me a thrill! :-)

Yeah, I'm afraid any vid is beyond my limited capabilities aussi. I have a friend who just got into making vids. Maybe I can beg/bribe/trick her into working on such a project. Hmmm...
