Thanks for the glossary rusty_armour but you didn't mention the legendary Canadian good manners as evinced by the story told on British telly. During the first world war the allies used pigeons to send messages and four of them landed in a trench occupied by the Canadians. The boys ate three of them and sent the fourth one back with a thank you note. Politeness at it's best!
