Muses like to hang around when we don't need the distraction (i.e. at work); but then disappear when we sit down to write. What's up with that?
That is so true! I can't tell you the number of times when my muse has shown up at work! She seems to prefer to offer her services when I'm supposed to be focusing on something else. Like you, if I sit down specifically to write, she seems to get bored and wanders off. I'd like to know what's up with that too!
I can't believe how prolific you are. I bow in awe.
I'm not usually this prolific. Usually, it would take me longer than two months to write 10,000 words. Of course, saying that, I wrote Gatecrasher (http://rusty-armour.livejournal.com/39083.html) in about a week and that was about 6,000 words. However, it's a parody and I seem to be able to write those pretty quickly for some reason. Anywaaaaay, I'm usually a very slow writer and I hadn't intended to write 10,000 words when I began this project.
