Re: BRAVA!!!

Terrific conclusion to your magnum opus, Rusty! O'Neill's casual earthiness fit quite seemlessly into the Scarborough setting. I can certainly see him being distracted from an Alien Pregnancy Crisis by a street hockey game! LOL

Thank you so very much, [livejournal.com profile] pyrateanny! :-D I'm glad you think that O'Neill fit in with the Scarborough setting. O'Neill's fixation with street hocky in the face of the Alien Pregnancy Crisis (Love that term BTW!) is one of the first things I pictured when I was first concocting this story. It seemed so strange when it came time to write that scene because it had been incubating in my brain for such a long time! *g*

And I'm glad the Ancient woman got to see her baby and give her blessing to Rodney. That was a lovely touch.

This is also something I had been planning for a while. I'm happy you like the scene. I wasn't sure what people would think of it.

>>>It hasn't hit me yet, but I'm sure it's going to take some time for me to get used to not working on this story anymore. I hope I don't end up with post-partum depression.<<<

Well, you know it doesn't necessarily have to be the end. It would be intriguing to see what sort of a wedding Carson & Jeannie have, not to mention the adventures of Rodney & John as the parents of an Ancient daughter. Sequel possibilities abound! (Particularly since you've created such a charming web of social ties for this 'family of choice'.)

While it would be wonderful to see sequels, I'm afraid those sequels won't be coming from me. I'm definitely finished with this story and universe. However, I certainly wouldn't stand in the way of anyone who wanted to play in the "Family Way" sandbox. I'd gladly give them my blessings. :-)

Then again, after completing this novel-length WIP, you've earned the right to rest on your laurels for awhile. LOL Brava!!!

Well, I'm hoping to take at least a little time off before I jump back into writing. As I now have a beta to work on, not to mention several TV shows to catch up on, that will probably be enough to keep me busy. *g*

Thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] pyrateanny! :-)
