If the deadline is self-imposed just change it. Give yourself a break for accomplishing so much already.

I make notes longhand before writing, but I can't write longhand. I find it takes too long and my thoughts are way ahead of my pen. That said, I used to write longhand all the time when I was taking the bus. Now that I drive to and from work, I don't get that opportunity. As for writing in front of the TV, that's usually when I make my notes.
