It sounds like you made a lot of progress toward your end goal anyway. That's the great thing about deadlines you take seriously, even if you miss, you get so much done. That's why I keep signing up for challenges! I'm not as good as you about taking my self-imposed deadlines seriously!

I really like my ipod to write on. It's just like pen and paper except I don't have to try and figure out my handwriting later. Totally portable and since I see it as my rough draft I don't edit myself. That's the major advantage to handwriting as I far as I'm concerned. The sense that it isn't the final draft.
