I have been trying to read this all day.

Happy One-Day-After-Your-Birthday! *g* I figured you would probably save the story until later, so no worries on that count. :-) I, uh, didn't exactly make it online last night, which is why you're only hearing from me now.

It was particularly brutal at work (I got home about thirty minutes ago)combined with our lawyer receiving a formal offer for my Dad's place. The offer is happy news, but there are a million details to work out with the lawyer plus I came home to a million questions from the purchaser regarding insurance, the wood stove, age of the roof, etc. etc. etc. Aaaaa! I want to run away from home! Except my older sister would track me down and kill me.

I'm sorry you had such a brutal day at work, especially as it was your birthday. :-( And while I'm happy to hear that you received a formal offer for your Dad's place, it sucks that you came home to a million questions from the purchaser and still have all those details to work out. Still, it looks like you've taken a big step towards wrapping up this whole process.

So, I'm ignoring my ringing phone and reading this instead. I feel this is a valid life choice.

I don't think it was just a valid life choice, but one you were entitled to make! ;-)

Oh god! Lyrics! I know way too many of them. You got some of favourites.

Oh, good! I was hoping I might manage to pick at least one of your favourites! :-)

Exactly how much research did you do?

Sadly, not as much as you might think. I basically just read the Fall Out Boy entry on Wikipedia and then bits from the entries on Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz.

“To which bit?” McKay asked. “The part about Fall Out Boy naming their group after a Simpsons’ character or the part about being ranked the 93d Best Artist of the last decade by Billboard?”

I actually had a hard time deciding which bit of Fall Out Boy trivia I would use. In the end, I went with what I hoped would be the most amusing trivia. *g*

Oh my god! McKay dancing up a storm! I howled when I saw him, although clearly he is dancing to disco and not pop-punk. To be fair, I'm not sure how you would show pop-punk. It would probably end up looking more like a fist fight.

I'm happy McKay gave you a laugh! :-) I wasn't sure how to show McKay (or any of the action figures) dancing in pop-punk style. There's a limit to the kind of poses you can put them in. In a way, I think the disco style works better because I'm assuming that McKay isn't a great dancer and, well, it's just funnier. *g*

I have to agree with lazigyrl, Rodney does look like he's in imminent peril! Run Rodney run! Harry? Heeeee!

Yeah, I'm starting to feel a bit guilty about placing Rodney in such peril, even with Sheppard there. Still, I think it's good for him to have something to gripe about, so I try to throw him into the path of danger every once in a while for the sake of his mental health, etc. As for Harry, I'm ashamed to confess that he's named after Harry Saxon. I, uh, bought the succulent shortly after falling head over heels in love with the Master and John Simm. *g*

"Unable to escape from the stubby, but surprisingly strong, fingers..." I like your hands, but this is hilarious!

Just a bit of self-deprecating humour. I'm glad you found it funny. :-)

“Imagination and me!” Giant Hand bobbed up beside the bed and gave the Doctor a cheeky wave."

I love the Giant Hand! Yay for reoccurring character! She's my fav!

Giant Hand is your fav? Really? Well, I'm very happy I included her, then! *g*

I also love that your bed is unmade--way to keep it real! Fall Out Boy would approve.

I never make my bed, so I was definitely keeping it real. *g*

"If I can go back in time and stop Pete Wentz and Joe Trohman becoming friends then that might just do the trick.”

Okay, once again I am really impressed with the depth of your research!

It was just Wikipedia, I swear. Well, that and a quick chat with three of my action figures...

This is awesome! On to Part Two!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the first part! I was hoping you would! :-)
