AWESOMEST Shower Curtain EVAH!!!
*Jumping up and down* Found the perfect shower curtain yesterday! My mom and I were in Sunrise Records and both gasped when we saw it. It was rather pricey for a shower curtain, but neither one of us could resist. My mom grabbed the first package and clutched it to her chest. As it was only one of two, I thought I'd better get the second one. There was a chance we'd be coming back (if HMV wasn't offering a better price on The White Queen), but I couldn't take the chance. What if someone came in the mean time and snatched it? Anywaaaaaaay, as my mom stayed with me last night (as it was our annual Mysteriously Yours outing), she was able to help me put it up this morning. When I said I would have to take pictures and post them on LJ, she basically said, "Well, yeah." Umm...apologies for the last photo. She insisted.

You're totally jealous. Admit it.

Observe the detail. The sign was what sold me.

She insisted. You'll notice that I wore my Reversed Polarity sweatshirt to celebrate.
In case anyone is concerned, I'm using my old shower curtain as a liner, so my TARDIS shower curtain should stay fairly clean longer. My old shower curtain is more clothy than plasticy, so I'm able to throw it in a washing machine.

Thank you very muchly,
I wish I could find something like that - doesn't have to be a shower curtain though, could be anything TARDIS-like. :) You were really lucky to find them.
There's TONS of Doctor Who merchandise -- and many of that merchandise has a TARDIS shape or, at least, a TARDIS theme. There's everything from key chains to plush toys. There's also a wide range of prices, so there are definitely affordable options.
I hope the rest of the family appreciates the other one just as much.
I'm not sure about my sister (as she isn't a Doctor Who fan), but I think my dad and brother will definitely get a kick out of it. :-)
Oh, and the last photo was fine. I wish I turned out as well in my photos...
That's very kind of you. If the photo is fine then it's down to my mom because I'm usually not photogenic. *g*

I now wonder if there's a library and swimming pool in your shower ;-)

It definitely took us by surprise! I mean, I've seen a lot of Doctor Who merchandise in my time, but a shower curtain? I still have trouble believing it and the damn thing is hanging in my bathroom! *g*
It looks really well made and it's great that it even has the sign. How could you resist? It's seriously cool.
Yes, I think it is well made -- in terms of both design and manufacture. I just love all the details, such as the sign. I knew I'd regret it if I didn't pick it up. I'm glad you also think it's seriously cool. :-D

I'm glad you could never hate me. You're so right about our tastes being too much alike for that to ever happen. :-D

I had a feeling you'd love it. :-)
Anthony and I recently got a new shower curtain but it's plain and nowhere near as awesome.
I can sympathize. My old shower curtain was also rather plain and in no way resembled a TARDIS. There's a reason why it's now serving as a liner. *g*
Enjoy your transdimensional shower :)
Thank you muchly! I'm sure I will! :-D

Good idea to re-use the original as a liner.
Photograph of you looks good!

Oooooh! Thank you! I'm glad you like it! :-D
If I pee multiple times at your place next time I'm there you'll know why :)
Well, better that than a medical condition that is causing you to make frequent trips to the bathroom...I'm sure you'll be blown away no matter how many times you, uh, visit the facilities. *g*
Good idea to re-use the original as a liner.
I wish I could take credit for that, but it was totally my mom's idea. :-)
Photograph of you looks good!
Good as in it's accurate? *g* Well, thank you very much. That's sweet of you to say. :-)

Of course, I'm geeky enough to notice that it has the same typos that exist on the actual prop (multiple cars but only one officer will respond? and also changing the wording from "respond to urgent calls" to "all calls" that happened in the 1980s) but that it has the St. John's Ambulance logo but kept the blue window frame. But clearly I've spent far too much time on sites on the history of the prop.

That joke has already been covered. *g*

Oh, good. I'm glad I'm glad I've got the 1980s version as that's when I got into the show.

Yes, it was a wonderful surprise and a totally unexpected find! :-D
I'm glad there were two of them available, so that you didn't have to fight your mom for it! LOL
Yes, it might have got ugly if there had been only one... *g*
