My Home Computer Is Down...

This is just a quick note to my flist to let everyone know that if I seem more quiet than usual for the next couple of days then it's because my home computer is down. I'm hoping that there's a Dell tech helpline I can call tonight. Otherwise, I'll consult one of the computer tech support places I looked up in the phone book last night. In any case, I hope the problem is fixable. At least I'll be able to check email and my flist at work. Oh, and I might actually get some writing done this weekend if I don't have my computer to distract me.

Having recently gone through a computer death, I feel your pain. I hope you get up and running again soon.

Thanks. With any luck, I will be able to get it up and running again soon. I really don't want to have to buy another computer.

I hope the damage isn't that big - good luck!

Thanks! I'm hoping the computer can be saved, though I'm trying to brace myself for the worst just in case.

Here's hoping it's an easy fix!

It would be wonderful if it turns out to be an easy fix. I'd be quite happy to look like a complete idiot to the IT person in question if he/she can save my baby.

Woe is you!

You be ficless! I just ordered a back-up Palm from ebay just so that would never happen to me! Hmmm...if it takes a while let me know and when my spare comes in you can borrow a Palm!

If you do end up buying a new one Staples had a laptop (with printer) for $499 in their flyer.

*Sniff, sniff* I KNOW! Well, I can always re-read some more fic from the Surfacing zines. I also started the fourth Kate Martinelli mystery (having consumed the third one in less than a week), so there's that too.

If I do end up having to replace my computer then I'll definitely keep that Staples deal in mind! I'll also remember your kind offer of the Palm. :-)
