My Silly Maurice Parody Did Some GOOD -- Rec for "Change In The Weather"

I can hardly believe it, but the strange Maurice parody I scribbled while under the effects of Tylenol Cold Plus has spawned some fic of its own. [livejournal.com profile] fengirl88 has written a new story in her Lestrade/Maurice series in my honour! To steal a British expression, I'm absolutely chuffed! Thank you very much, [livejournal.com profile] fengirl88! I'm very happy and touched that you would do that! :-D

If you actually enjoyed my insane little parody, you must check out [livejournal.com profile] fengirl88's story, A Change In The Weather. For that matter, you should check out ALL of her Lestrade/Maurice stories (which I seriously need to re-read now that I've finally seen Maurice):

The Bad Old Songs

Beginning To See The Light

Night at the Opera

Night at the Opera (2)

Night at the Opera (3)

I hate to say it, but I had an idea for a sequel to my first Maurice parody scribble. As I'm still on Tylenol Cold Plus, I might be forced to write it tonight or tomorrow. If it does get written, you can blame [livejournal.com profile] blooms84, who said she friended me in case I decided to "sneak out to post things once in awhile" -- despite my retirement. *g*

That is really good Who advice. This person I met was a HUGE fan of Tom Baker (I guess every fangirl has a favorite), so I think she wanted to promote watching him. But you're right, since I'm starting because of Gatiss and Moffat, maybe I should jump in there first. I think that's smart. Am going to start tonight, I think! Yay Netflix!

I think you'd probably like Tom Baker considering your great sense of humour. However, I think you're wise to start with the new series first and then check out earlier canon (such as the Tom Baker episodes) later on. I hope you enjoy Doctor Who. I have a feeling you will. :-)
