I NEVER Thought *This* Would Happen!

I NEVER thought this would happen, but three of my stories (A Private View, Buckingham & Shaftesbury: The Schemes and the Theatrics and The Boathouse (particularly The Boathouse)) were mentioned in an academic paper called Heritage Film Audiences 2.0: Period Film Audiences and Online Film Cultures. For anyone who's curious, the relevant material can be found in pages 36-37 of the pdf document. Some other very worthy works are also analyzed, including [livejournal.com profile] fengirl88's The Bad Old Songs (on pages 37-38 of the pdf document).

I have to confess that I howled when I read what Dr. Monk wrote about The Boathouse -- mostly due to sheer shock and joy and not because I disagreed with what she wrote. *g*

Congratulations! That's pretty cool that you got mentioned in an academic paper.
What a terrible life she must lead. Having to read fanfic for school. ;)

Thank you very much, [livejournal.com profile] tazzles! I'm glad you think so! :-) I have to admit that I'm still excited about it. Whenever I'm feeling down, I just think or say "academic paper" and that seems to help. *g*

LOL! Yeah, I know, eh? Dr. Monk told me that she had a lot of fun researching this paper. In fact, she apparently had to stop herself from gathering information and writing even more. *g*
