because I accidentally went to see Star Trek Into Darkness this afternoon after having lunch with my high school friends. I had honestly planned to wait and see it with you, but T's fiance and M's husband were absolutely raving about it. Then A was saying that she would have to go see it alone because her boyfriend wasn't into sci-fi at all. And we were at the Yonge/Eglinton Pickle Barrel, which is right beside the movie theatre. And I found myself opening my mouth and asking A if she'd like to see it, which is when T's fiance so very helpfully looked up the time for the next show on his PDA. So...it wasn't totally my fault...except that it was.

I did go knowing that I would be seeing the film a second time with you -- if you'll still have me after this. And as Star Trek Into Darkness was so FAN-freaking-TASTIC, it would be an absolute pleasure. In fact, as the credits rolled, I told A that I didn't want the movie to end and wished I could watch it all over again. Yes, it's that good. It's worth it for Benedict Cumberbatch alone, though I would have happily gone to see it if he hadn't been there because I loved the first film.

Well, I think that wraps up this apology/confession. I'm a horrible person and a worse friend. Can I still go with you to see Star Trek Into Darkness? *g*

Oh I don't know... that's up there with...tries to think of a comparable fannish sin... ummm...almost as bad as... no, no, it's not as bad as that... I know! No, no ... it's worse than that...

How about you agree to watch the pilot episode of Person of Interest with great attention and focus and I'll forgive you? I totally wouldn't, but I know you are weak in the face of The Cumberbatch.

*Hangs head in shame* It's worse than everything. However, I will watch any Person of Interest episodes you screen with great attention and focus. And I'm grateful that you're so understanding about my affliction.

I really do want to see the film again, so I'm still game if you want to see it. :-)

Sure! When do you want to go? I think E was up for it too, wasn't she?

To be honest, I'm not sure how enthusiastic E really was, but we can certainly check with her. :-) At the moment, the only dates that are bad for me are May 31st-June 2nd. Oh, and the 24th, obviously, as that's the night of the concert, right?

Awww, but now you can go see Star Trek Into Darkness twice :) Anthony and I very much enjoyed it when we went - we didn't see it in 3D or Imax, I'm such a traditionalist lol. Glad you had fun watching it.

It's going to be a struggle, but, yes, I'll have to go see it a second time. I forced myself to watch Star Trek last night (as I didn't have time before the first Star Trek Into Darkness viewing) and I've suffered through the Star Trek Into Darkness soundtrack more times than I can count... *g*

I'm happy you and Anthony enjoyed Star Trek Into Darkness. My friend and I didn't see it in 3D or Imax either, but I think it still looked fantastic. Besides, I find that the 3D effect wears off after about 10 or 15 minutes. I also have a feeling that I might have got seasick with all that action going on! In any case, it was a lot of fun. :-)

You're going to have to see it twice? How terrible. If only there was some way I could relieve you of your burden..... ;)
It really is a great film, isn't it? It flew by so quickly.
Benedict Cumberbatch did such a brilliant job. Pity they took out the shower scene.

Yeah, I don't know how I'm going to bear it. *g* The film was wonderful, though it did fly by too quickly. I think it was totally worth it for Benedict Cumberbatch alone -- even without the shower scene...Maybe it will be in a DVD deleted scene. :-)
