Last weekend, I went to the Waterloo Central Railway’s Magical Wizards Festival with some friends. Some of you might remember my previous WCR excursion from four years ago. This time around, there was a steam locomotive instead of a diesel locomotive and a whole lot of wizardry. It was a delightful event for any Harry Potter fan. ( Accio! )

Happy New Year (Three Days Later)
Jan. 3rd, 2015 04:18 pmNo, I didn't lose track of time completely or just wake up from a three-day hangover. I'm just posting this entry later than I intended. Originally, I was going to post it shortly after Christmas, but I was busying cleaning my apartment for New Year's Eve, reading fic and Stephen Fry's More Fool Me, and slacking off in general. Then, for a couple of days after New Year's, I had mini-migraines because of my period (and possibly the weather), so I didn't feel like posting either. However, today, I've been migraine-free (so far) and feeling pretty chipper (e.g. my hormones have levelled out), so I'm blogging instead of napping (like the last two days). ( Wow. This sounds absolutely fascinating. Please, do go on. )
A Hogwarts Bridal Shower

Just in time (Eastern Standard Time, at least) for Harry Potter's birthday is the worst Sorting Hat evah:

Believe it or not, I made this for a Harry Potter themed bridal shower taking place next weekend. I'll also be attempting to whip up some Ton Tongue Toffee and Cockroach Clusters. Actually, I'll be doing a test run for the Ton Tongue Toffee tomorrow night and using my family as guinea pigs on Saturday. They don't know this yet. *g*
Title: To Boldly Go Where No Action Figure Has Quite Gone Before (3/3)
Author: Rusty Armour
Pairing: McShep, Sheppard/Spike, Archer/Reed
Summary: Stepping through the Stargate can sometimes lead to some pretty unexpected places!
Category: Slash, Crossover, Action Figures
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Sanctuary, Epiphany, The Tower, Michael, Miller's Crossing, The Kindred (for SGA) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (for Harry Potter)
Disclaimer: Thou Shalt Not Steal. Even in the interest of fic. Most of these characters aren't mine. I, uh, borrowed them. Yeah.
Author's Notes: I originally meant to post some pictures of my action figures for fun, but then it kind of blossomed into this very surreal fic. While this obviously doesn't measure up to

Last time on To Boldly Go Where No Action Figure Has Quite Gone Before, Sheppard found himself in a rather sticky situation. Yes, this time it is that kind of a sticky situation. You should be ashamed of yourself, Sheppard! ( I did try to warn you last time. )

Last time on To Boldly Go Where No Action Figure Has Quite Gone Before, Sheppard found himself in a rather sticky situation. No, not that kind of sticky situation. A sticky situation involving a Dalek. ( Are you sure you want to click on this link? )

Yesterday, my brother gave me a Colonel Sheppard action figure for my…uh…for a special occasion that dares not speak its name. I've been told by an anonymous source (Okay, it was my mom) that Dr. Rodney McKay should hopefully be joining Colonel Sheppard in a couple of weeks (e.g. when Silver Snail calls her to let her know that the new shipment has arrived). In the mean time, I thought I'd better find a way to keep Sheppard suitably entertained as he becomes bored easily and has severe abandonment issues. Therefore, I decided to send him to the NX-01 to hang out with my Enterprise action figures. However, as this is Sheppard we're talking about, things didn't go as smoothly as I expected…
( Hey, at least I'm not ranting about the TTC. )
