I had my first guest come to stay at my new place on Friday. EX Weekend had rolled around again, so my mom and I made our annual pilgrimage to the CNE. It took a lot of work to whip this apartment into half-decent shape, but my mom seemed very happy with how the place looked. Anywaaaaaay, it was a fun weekend and a very welcome break for both of us. [profile] dubghall kindly sent me this article on Enterprise last week and I'm finally getting around to sharing it with my flist...Well, those two or three people who are actually Enterprise fans. Come on. I know there's at least a couple of you and it's not like I'm looking for a show of hands. *g* Actually, I would recommend this article to those of you who aren't fans as well because Dan Roth provides some good arguments for why he thinks a) Enterprise didn't kill Trek; b) why the show wasn't so bad; and c) why Enterprise was basically doomed from the start.

While this article is great, I think Roth should have included this clip when addressing the show's selling points:

The Reed/Hayes fight is what got me to write slash for the very first time. The moment I saw this fight (and then re-watched it several times), I had to slash these two. Resistance was, like, totally futile. *g*

Title: Never Cry Werewolf
Author: Rusty Armour
Summary: As is so often the case in September, a mysterious threat is, uh, threatening to threaten the harmonious balance the peace and tranquility of [personal profile] rusty_armour ’s apartment. Again. Uh, apparently I’m incapable of generating new plots, but recycling is good – for the environment, anyway. *g*
Category: Gen with just the lightest touch of slash. And Action Figure fic, of course. Crossover of Teen Wolf, Enterprise, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who (sort of), Primeval (sort of) and Sherlock Holmes.
Rating: Pretty much gen.
Spoilers: Possibly some very minor ones in terms of Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek canon. Oh, and The Forsyte Saga.
Disclaimer: With a few exceptions, these characters aren’t mine. They’re owned by smarter, richer people. It’s totally not worth it to sue me. I’m just an editor.
Notes: Here’s my annual offering for [personal profile] jackycomelately’s birthday. I’m posting it more than a week early because I’ll be away on [personal profile] jackycomelately’s special day. I’m not sure if this is up to my usual standard of lunacy, but I hope the birthday girl will still manage to get something out of it.

Happy EARLY Birthday, jackycomelately! )

Before I say anything, I just want to thank [profile] njc2007 and [profile] lazigyrl for asking me to attend Polaris (again) and for being such warm and generous friends! I had an absolutely wonderful time and I'm sure they were the main reason for that! :-D MASSIVE geekfest ahead. )

Title: To Boldly Go Where No Action Figure Has Quite Gone Before (3/3)
Author: Rusty Armour
Pairing: McShep, Sheppard/Spike, Archer/Reed
Summary: Stepping through the Stargate can sometimes lead to some pretty unexpected places!
Category: Slash, Crossover, Action Figures
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Sanctuary, Epiphany, The Tower, Michael, Miller's Crossing, The Kindred (for SGA) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (for Harry Potter)
Disclaimer: Thou Shalt Not Steal. Even in the interest of fic. Most of these characters aren't mine. I, uh, borrowed them. Yeah.
Author's Notes: I originally meant to post some pictures of my action figures for fun, but then it kind of blossomed into this very surreal fic. While this obviously doesn't measure up to [livejournal.com profile] pollitt's and [livejournal.com profile] maverick4oz's Action Figure Theatre, I hope it will still give people a laugh.

Last time on To Boldly Go Where No Action Figure Has Quite Gone Before, Sheppard found himself in a rather sticky situation. Yes, this time it is that kind of a sticky situation. You should be ashamed of yourself, Sheppard! I did try to warn you last time. )
