Ooooh! I'm glad you love this fandom, thegreenring! :-) I think I saw the Leslie Howard film years ago, though I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I'm about twelve chapters into The Scarlet Pimpernel and can definitely recommend it. I'm not sure if I'll have time to read all the books in the series. I'll probably focus on the ones dealing specifically with Percy Blakeney first and then see if I want to tackle any of the others. I'm actually tempted to go back more than a century and read The Laughing Cavalier (http://www.blakeneymanor.com/spb17.html), which is about Percy Blakeney's ancestor.
