Yay for pictures of Tuppence!

Yes, my camera is in a bag (along with all my Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films for my poor Uncle G), so there will be pictures of Tuppence. I'm off tomorrow, so I should be able to post some in the morning or afternoon. :-)

I haven't read the books either, although I've read some meta about them way back when I would have called it literary analysis :)

Ah, I remember the good old days of "literary analysis". *g* Well, I know almost nothing other than the fact that the books were written by Agatha Christie and that there's a TV adaptation. I'll really have to check them out some time. Maybe when I'm not reading Philippa Gregory and H P Lovecraft.

BTW, there's a program on Agatha Christie tomorrow night at 9:00 on WNED.

That is one adorable lion cub!

I'm happy you think so! :-) I feel all warm and fuzzy whenever I watch the clip.

I went on a Wikipedia binge a while back on tigers. Fascinating and absolutely terrifying. Did you know that the big breeds can get like eleven feet long? The world record is something like 850 pounds (although they said that some of that might have been the water buffalo it had eaten the day before). Historically something like 380 000 people have been killed by tigers. Okay, I'll stop now or I'll go on for pages. Lions and tigers, oh my!

Oooooh! Tiger binge! :-D I knew that tigers could be big (850 lbs doesn't surprise me), but I think I'd forgotten that they could grow to be eleven feet long. That's HUGE. And tigers are incredible predators, so I'm sure that statistic on their kills is pretty accurate too. I thought I heard recently about some people being killed recently by a tiger in India...or maybe that was an elephant. I know elephants have been a problem lately.

You probably came across this in Wikipedia, but tigers are one of the only cats that like water. I saw this program on India's wildlife in which the alpha tiger would sit in the main watering hole during the dry season and wait for his prey to come to him...
