Tenth Anniversary of New Who!

I only just realized (thanks to an email from the BBC Doctor Who Official Shop) that today is the tenth anniversary of New Doctor Who, which debuted on March 26, 2005. I can't believe it's been ten years! I still remember tuning in to watch that first episode, excited but trepidatious after the previous attempt to resurrect the franchise (that awful 1996 TV movie). Happily, I didn't have to get too far into the episode before I realized that New Who was good. Really, really, really good.
I tried to think of some way to pay tribute to this milestone and ended up on YouTube. Not surprisingly, the BBC put together a tenth anniversary trailer. I could have done with less Amy and Missy (who I hate with a fiery passion), but I think the vid is cool and brings back some great memories:
I'll probably watch "Rose" tonight to celebrate, but I don't think I'll have time for anything else. I hope other Doctor Who fans find fun ways to mark this special occasion.
While I'm on the subject of anniversaries, I'm deeply ashamed to admit that I didn't celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PBS debut of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (the Granada series) on March 14th. Sorry, Jeremy! :-( I turn once again to YouTube to save the day:
