Yeah it took me a while to get into SGA, it was tough to get over just how...misogynistic McKay came off when he was originally introduced and interacting with Sam. I had to shake that, and seeing that he could no longer play the "penis card" against Teyla or Elizabeth helped a lot.

I didn't see the SG-1 episodes with McKay until after I became a fan of SGA. As I find myself wincing whenever I watch that first SG-1 episode, I can understand why you had trouble getting past the misogynistic image of McKay. However, I think they softened him quite a bit (e.g. actually making him sympathetic) by the time he made his second appearance on SG-1. While he's still a jerk, I don't think he's ever played the "penis card" against Teyla or Elizabeth. Oh, sure, he's held his brilliance over them, but he does that with everyone. *g*

But back to vids, I'll definitely check out those you recced, but may I also recommend my all time favorite vid Flagpole Sitta: A Decade of Daniel Whump (http://www.littleheaven70.com/flagpolesitta.html) which is absolutely brilliant. I have yet to see any fan vid that even comes close to working as well as this one, it's sort of the ultimate in SG-1 vids and I'd dearly love to find the equivalent in SGA.

Flagpole Sitta: A Decade of Daniel Whump (http://www.littleheaven70.com/flagpolesitta.html) is a GREAT vid! To be honest, I'm not much of an SG-1 fan, but I've seen and/or read enough about the episodes to be able to appreciate the vid. Wow. Daniel really did get whumped a lot! No wonder he has so many fans! Daniel worship must be worth it for the whumpage alone! ;-)
