This is such a lovely installment -- a mix of zippy dialogue, Lester's hilarious internal thoughts and the very touching scene with the children.
That's such a kind thing to say, lukadreaming! Thank you once again for the beta and the feedback! :-) I'm glad the dialogue worked for you. I have to admit that I found it a challenge to balance all of those characters. I actually had to go back and add a lot of Lester's internal thoughts as his family kind of took over. *g* I'm happy you found the scene with the children touching. I have a melodramatic streak in me and I'm always afraid that I might be pushing my occasional attempts at drama too far.
Emma is definitely her father's daughter *g*.
