Quick Question for My Flist

Is anyone else experiencing a delay when it comes to receiving comment notifications from LJ? I just had two notifications dating from Saturday hit my inbox tonight. The same thing happened yesterday with another weekend notification. The strange thing is that this hasn't happened with all notifications. I actually received one on time today. Very strange.

Yup that has happened to me too! I.e the comment from you was delayed...
But also Twitter has been playing up w messages.

I'm sorry you've been having the same problem, though it's kind of comforting to know that I'm not the only one. I wonder if this is happening because of the last LJ upgrade or if the timing is just a coincidence...

BTW, I only found this comment because I checked my LJ home page. The notification hasn't landed in my inbox yet.

Now that you mention it, I haven't received any comment notifications at all lately. I don't remember how long this has been going on. Several days, I think.

Not that I've noticed, but I don't pay that much attention to times on notifications, to be honest.

I know a while ago someone on my flist was talking about LJ updating the notifications that might lead to delays of up to a week in them being sent during the over haul. But I don't know if that overhaul is still ongoing or not. I get most of mine right away, but sometimes there are stragglers.

*Hugs in return* Well, it's good to know that other people have also been having this problem. If it's happening to enough people then LJ has probably already heard about it -- or will be hearing about it shortly. *g* It's funny but all of the most recent comments to this entry arrived in my inbox just fine, while I still haven't seen any notification for the comment anitamaid left.

It's possible that you're having the same problem, then. Have you commented on anyone's LJ and not received a response? This was happening to me when I was leaving comments for fic, which seemed a little strange. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I usually try to respond to any feedback I receive quickly and effusively. *g*

No worries, tazzles. Based on this thread, it would seem that a number of people are having the same problem. I'm just glad I'm not alone. :-)

I'm trying to remember if the latest overhaul was last week or the week before. Thanks for letting me know about what you heard on your flist, lazigyrl. I suspected that the delays might be due to the overhaul, but it's great to have more information. :-)

I haven't been very active on Lj (or anywhere) lately, so for a while, I haven't commented much. However, in the past, when I haven't received a reply, I have usually just assumed that people intentionally didn't reply, for whatever reaason. Roughly half my active LJ friends reply regularly, you among them, but the rest - well, I have started not to comment, because I'm assuming they're not interested in my imput. Though if this problem has been going on for longer than I was aware of, this might be the reason. Maybe I'd better go check, just in case.

I've seen a couple people mention in the last few days that they haven't been receiving their comments. So, to echo everyone else, not just you. I haven't noticed any problem myself. Maybe it affects people with a bigger volume of messages?

Luckily, I thought to check this entry because I haven't received the notification for your comment yet. *g* Well, I'm glad to know that you've heard of people having the same problem. Maybe it does have to do with the volume of messages. Whatever it is, I hope LJ can fix it soon.
