I actually grew up in Scarborough, which is why I thought it would be funny if McKay had to go there to see his sister. I don't think McKay's from Scarborough himself because he doesn't have that Wayne Campbell thing going on with his accent. However, I thought he might have been from somewhere in Toronto because he referred to Hurricane Hazel in "The Storm" and, well, David Hewlett grew up there. Anyway, it's quite possible that McKay grew up in Kingston. I know I've read a couple of fics in which his birthplace is Kingston.
