This is an entertaining and amusing story in your own inimitable style! Great fun!
Oh, thank you, karen9! That's such an incredibly kind thing to say! :-D
I like your puns and innuendos.
I'm very happy to hear that! :-) I have to confess that, for the most part, they practically wrote themselves.
I like your well-drawn portrayals of Castelmaine, Monmouth and particularly Buckingham, whom one can't help liking despite his being a rogue and a libertine. I don't know if it's the same in the series or if it's your quality writing.
Although this is a parody, I would argue that I've only exaggerated the traits that already existed. If the portrayals seem well-drawn then that's probably due to Adrian Hodges's script more than anything else. Well, that and the wonderful way the roles were executed. I'm glad to hear that you couldn't help liking Buckingham -- for obvious reasons, I'm sure. *g*
Thanks for sharing this. I'd like to see the series now.
Well, thank you very much for taking the time to read this! :-D I'm happy to say that you can watch Charles II: The Power and the Passion on YouTube. And it's the British version, so A&E hasn't cut a whole hour out of it. *grumble, grumble* I should warn you that it's about four hours, but at least it's broken down into installments. Here's the first part if you're interested:
