Is this your tree, rusty? I esp. like the cat ornament in the upper middle.
Yes, this is my tree, though the retroish look is due to PaintShop Pro. *g* I'm glad you like the cat ornament. A good friend gave that to me. Actually, good friends gave me quite a few of my ornaments. :-D
Hope your holiday is fine with warm weather for the season or snow if that is what you prefer. :)
To be honest, I wouldn't mind a bit of snow. I mean, I don't want a snowstorm, but even a light dusting would be nice. Hope you get the kind of holiday weather you most desire. Season's greetings and happy writing! :-D
Thanks, grassle! That's very kind of you! :-) It probably looks a bit more impressive than it really is because I played with the image in PaintShopPro, but I'm glad you like it.
Thanks for the good wishes and hope you have a lovely holiday and great start to 2013.
Thank you very much again! :-) May your own holiday be wonderful and may 2013 be both happy and prosperous!
BTW, I just finished writing the third scene of that Maurice/Stalky & Co. crossover I mentioned a while ago. It just wouldn't leave me alone, so I had to start writing it. I don't know if it's going to be your cup of tea or not. If all goes well, I'm hoping to finish it in January, though it may end up being February.
Speaking of fic, I have to apologize for being so massively behind. I've been wanting to read (I'm Just) Wild About Harry (http://archea2.livejournal.com/80686.html) for a while now, so maybe it's something I'll finally get to during the holidays. :-)
Why wouldn't it be my cup of rosy lee, eh? It sounds delish. GIMMEE!
Hope you get around to reading Harry. It was such fun to write, with Archea. Really hoping you like it! It's a bit Stalky-ish: got scenes at Slough Comp (Eton).
I know what you mean about fics begging to be written. Ye Old Christ's Mass Special won't leave me alone (Lestrade staging Mystery plays, trying to make the Bakerstreete Cycle as famous as the York or Wakefield; Abel, the strapping blacksmith's apprentice as Adam...) Sadly I had to send all my books on ahead (I'm moving) and Lord knows when I'll be able to unpack and settle down to it. One day...
Hey, grassle! Sorry you're just hearing from me now. I haven't really been online since the 22nd. I'm looking forward to reading Harry and I love the sound of your Ye Old Christ's Mass Special! :-D I hope you get a chance to write it some day.
Just seen this! Thank you for sharing such a gorgeous tree. Wishing you very happy holidays, and a light dusting of snow. (Where I'm sitting, it's just wet.)
And thank you, too, for your considerable help this year.* :-) (*I may PM separately on that. Christmas deserves a Christmas ficlist rec(s)/post, and now we've reached the holidays I might even get that done. I have a definitely-seasonal rec in mind – but, as you're the recs-meister, I wanted to run it past you first!)

Thank you very much, exponential63! I'm glad you like my little Christmas tree! :-) This is coming late, but I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day. We didn't have snow for Christmas, but we had a lot fall on us last night. *g*

Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you about that Christmas rec. This is the first time I've really been online since the 22nd...In any case, I think you picked a fantastic rec and I loved your analysis of the story. Oh, and I got your PM. I'll answer it now.

Date: 2012-12-22 03:59 am (UTC)Thank you very much! It is, indeed, my own little tree. You'll get to see it again on New Year's Eve. :-)
Love the retro look of the photograph.
Thanks again! It's amazing what you can do with PaintShop Pro. :-)
Thank you for my card. I love the doggie stamp! And the chickadee!
No problemo. I'm happy you like the card and the doggie stamp. :-)

Oh, Herne! I hadn't even thought of that! Unopened presents and unread fic! It doesn't bear thinking about!
