Excuse to Use My Cats Tag

Barnaby hanging out in Mom's laundry basket

Pictures my sister took of Barnaby sleeping in the kitchen

Another E photo of Minerva sleeping on the couch

Minerva embracing her silly side

That damned elusive
to supper time, Oakley decided to grace us with his
presence, though he wasn't too happy about having his
picture taken. He's always playing hard to get, hiding
whenever I'm around, pretending that he doesn't want to
see me. He's such a shameless little flirt.

Date: 2013-06-19 03:26 pm (UTC)It's usually my mom who picks the felines, though often they pick her. That was the case with Barnaby, who was a stray. And she ended up with Oakley because he was the official mouser at the garden centre where she used to work. Now, she did pick Minerva. She went to a breeder to get her.

Date: 2013-06-19 11:57 pm (UTC)Barnaby does have an impressive set of whiskers, something my sister managed to capture in that one photo. My mom loves that picture of Minerva being silly, so I made sure to send her a copy. :-)

Date: 2013-06-22 10:12 pm (UTC)All of the cats are very soft and velvety. I can't guarantee that you won't break out if you pet them through a screen, but they shouldn't scratch you. Well...Barnaby might grab your arm if you try to rub his belly, but, even then, he doesn't scratch. It's more of a warning. *g* Seriously, though, I usually only get scratched if I'm playing with cats (e.g. Minerva) or holding them when they don't want to be held and/or they get startled. In other words, I'm usually asking for it when I get scratched. ;-)
