I've been spending the morning catching up on vids and photos that have been recently posted on my flist. In fact, I spent over 20 minutes at [livejournal.com profile] killerweasel's LJ watching this wonderful interview Peter Jackson conducted with Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg for The World's End. You can find it here if you're interested. Of course, while I was at [livejournal.com profile] killerweasel's LJ, I shamelessly stole this vid:

I'm still on a massive Pirates of the Caribbean kick. I'm about a fifth of the way through Hippediva's Pirate Vindaloo: A Sparrington Novel and lovin' it so far. I'm about 95% sure that I started reading it before, but I'm not sure why I didn't finish it. Maybe it was a WIP at the time, and I just lost track of it. It is a little long at over 180,000 words...

I did manage to read some Sherlock fic early this morning when I had a tiny bout of insomnia due to a leg cramp. shirleyholmes' Child's Play made me forget all about it. :-)

Okay, I'd better try to do something a bit more productive, like taking a shower and hitting the bank. I think I'll wait until tomorrow (when it's supposed to be cooler) to haul groceries around. One of these days, I will write a post that isn't just vids or fic recs. This just isn't that day. *g*

The interview was really interesting and having Peter Jackson ask the questions was great. The messages from Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were great fun. Thanks for posting the links.

As for that novel - 180 000 words! Has the author tried publishing it - perhaps on-line on Amazon?

We have to remember that reading and sharing good reads is always productive!

I read Child's Play - it makes one smile :oD

Aaargh! Waking up with a leg cramp is so painful.

Yes, I am looking forward to The World's End muchly! :oD

I found it hard enough to keep characters true to themselves in fan fiction, so I admire someone who can create original characters.

Good luck with your job hunting!
