Thanksgiving/Guild Inn Photo Album

I took some photos last weekend during Canadian Thanksgiving, but I'm only now getting around to posting them. The majority of them were taken when my mom, sister and I took a walk in and around the Guild Inn. However, I did manage to snap some pictures of Tuppence with her mommy. Here's one:

And here's a close up of Tuppence (a.k.a. "The Muppet"):

I blame my sister for the lack of family photos because she's the one who documents everything on Thanksgiving from the preparation of the turkey to the meal itself. She does it all much better than I could. For that matter, she probably got better pictures at the Guild Inn, but I couldn't resist snapping some myself.

The Osterhout Log Cabin. Believe it or not, this is the oldest building
in Scarborough. It was built in 1795, which is pretty old in Canadian terms.

My sister and I on one side of the Osterhout Log Cabin. It was
really sunny out but cold, which is why I'm wearing three layers.

Part of the sculpture garden. To quote Wikipedia, the sculpture garden contains
"the rescued facades and ruins of various demolished downtown Toronto buildings".

When we saw this "ruin," my mom pointed out that it looked like a sacrificial altar

My sister and I wasted no time in testing that theory

Personally, I'm really bad at documenting anything, because I rarely bring a phone or camera anywhere I go. I really need to do better.

I hadn't thought of the Guild Inn/sculpture garden being a good place for Halloween before, but I think you're absolutely right. It would be pretty spooky and fantastic there at night! I should find out if there are any alleged hauntings in or around the Guild Inn.

Oh, she primarily uses Instagram and often posts photos on Facebook as well. She was on LJ for a short time, but it just wasn't her thing.

I'm okay at it if I'm going somewhere and specifically set out to take some pictures. Sometimes, I'll manage to get some pictures at family events, but my sister is much better at capturing such moments. She's a really good photographer too, so I'd say she was something of a natural at it.
