Thanks to Intrada, a store/record label that specializes in more obscure TV and film scores, I was FINALLY able to get my hands on the soundtrack for Young Sherlock Holmes. To put this in perspective, I've been wanting the music for this film since I was 15, which is more years ago than I'd care to admit. And I know that Young Sherlock Holmes isn't the most brilliant Sherlock Holmes film, but I completely gobbled it up at 15 and absolutely loved it. Love has now faded to fondness, though I do think there are a lot of good things about it, such as the special effects. The one of the knight in the stained glass window used to show up as a clip in special effects documentaries for years after the movie was released. I think it still stands up really well, especially considering that it was created before the advent of CGI:
Then, of course, there's Bruce Broughton's film score, which I completely adore. I'm such a soundtrack junkie and whore, which is why I kept searching for it all these years. Here's the main title from Young Sherlock Holmes to give you some idea of what the soundtrack is like:

I should also mention that I'm a freak and tend to keep an ear open to a film's score -- just in case. *g*
