A Story of Mine is Being Published!

I first learned about both this anthology (and Sherlock Holmes: Stranger than Fiction) back in September. As Belanger Books was accepting submissions, I thought I'd give it a shot. Although the deadline was December 31st, I kept it a secret in case my story was rejected. Happily, I heard from the editor on February 1st and learned that my story had been accepted. At the moment, Belanger Books is running an AWESOME Kickstarter campaign for both Sherlock Holmes: Stranger than Truth and Sherlock Holmes: Stranger than Fiction. I say "AWESOME" because they have a trailer -- an actual trailer for these books.
This is probably my news of the year, so I'm definitely savouring it more than I should. I'm also hopelessly vain about my writing, so there's that too. *g*

Date: 2021-03-06 07:15 pm (UTC)Thank you so much,
I've just gone to have a look at the trailer - it's such a clever idea to have anthologies based around famous fictional and non-fictional clients.
I have to confess that I've watched that trailer more than once. I'm glad you had a chance to watch it, especially if it did give you a clear picture of what this project is about. I'm obviously a bit biased, but I also think that it's a really clever idea to have Holmes dealing with famous fictional and non-fictional clients. It's been done in pastiches before, but I don't think I've come across an anthology before where all of the stories deal with this subject.
Oh, and harking back to a previous post - congratulations on the new career! ^_____^
Thanks again! :-) It's been challenging and has certainly had its ups and downs, but things have been working out so far. I'm lucky to be working during the pandemic when so many people can't.
