I don't know what's wrong with me. I haven't wanted to do anything today. I just can't seem to concentrate. I didn't even have the attention span to finish reading a fic. Granted, it wasn't the best story in the world, but it was hurt/comfort. That's totally my kink! *sigh* Well, I actually managed to do some dishes and cook something for supper. Oh, and I made two new icons. Well, one of them totally sucks, so I'm not sure if I'll even have the heart to prolong its sorry existence on my hard drive. I think I'll have to put it down.

I wonder what killed my poor brain. Is it because I've spent too much time in PSP 8 this weekend? Was it the four hours I spent writing slash yesterday morning. Can you lose brain cells by just writing about sex? Ah, man! I've really got to go back to genfic!

BTW I want to say a big HELLO to my good friends anitamaid and alysscarlet! Yes, it's really me. Honest! *g*

Hello you;)

Totally not what you have written about here, but: maybe we should go on a chocolate exchange programme???

PS I don't think your braincells deteriorate or die by you writing Slash;)

And PS 2: What is PSP 8 ?

As far as I'm concerned, chocolate is *always* relevant! We should totally go on a chocolate exchange programme! :-)

I'm glad you don't think that writing Slash can kill your brain cells, though our mutual friend Grond has got me kind of worried. *g*

PSP 8 is Paint Shop Pro 8. It's a lot like Photoshop, though obviously different because of the different name and all. Anyway, PSP 8 came with my computer (on a free trial basis), so I thought I'd try it out. I just hope that I can give it up when the free trial ends in a month. Maybe by then I'll have made enough icons to get it out of my system.

So how much is it if you sign up? The PSP thingy that is ;)

About the Chocolate exchange programme: I read your entry on or around Valentines day and thought it would be an interesting programme;) Spread the chocolate love around the world....

It is *your* Herne Bear, isn't it? The one I've met? He's just too cute;)

It looks like Paint Shop Pro 8 has now become Paint Shop Pro X. If you go to www.corel.com (http://www.corel.com) and click under Norway, it should give you the info you need. It seems a wee bit pricey for € 119, but I suppose it would be worth it if you were planning to use it a lot.

I thought you might have read my scary Valentine's Day entry when you brought up the idea for a chocolate exchange programme. I think it would be *brilliant* and oh-so-yummy! Yes, chocolate love should be a global phenomenon!

I accidentally missed your other P.S. comment about my Herne Bear icon. It is indeed *my* Herne Bear, the very Herne Bear you've met in the flesh, er, fur. As if there could ever be any *other* Herne Bear! *g* I'm so glad you like the icon. It's my first attempt to paste one picture (e.g. Herne Bear) into a different picture (e.g. a snapshot of Leigh Woods). It turned out a lot better than I thought it would and I was pleasantly surprised by the results.

Speaking of icons, I think yours is adorable! He looks like Sindre...And if it *is* Sindre, I'm going to be *so* embarrassed. *g*

Oh my Herne! I keep forgetting! Congratulations! I read in your LJ that you were expecting again and neglected to say anything! Sorry about that. It's wonderful news and I'm sure that your whole family is very excited! :-)

It is Sindre;) It is an icon that Alison made for me about a year ago (out of a photo that I think I took;)...

As for expecting - it's early days yet, but I just had to eh tell my LJ... We're all very excited and hope it works out well! *crosses fingers*

My first thought was that it might be Sindre! I should have gone with my gut! *g* I kept comparing your icon to that beautiful Christmas card you sent me. I guess my confusion stemmed from the fact that Sindre has grown a bit since the icon photo. I also wondered if the icon design might have been Alys' work. It really is a thing of beauty.

My thoughts will be with you, the baby and your family. Even though it's early days, I don't blame you for wanting to write about it in your LJ. I really hope everything works out. :-)

Hello Claire!!!!! Love the layout of your LJ - really beautiful and easy to read.

My LJ is pretty much friends only, but I've added you, so long as you don't mind me going on endlessly about LOTR, John Barrowman, Doctor Who, and the domestic trials of house-owning. :-)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the layout. That's a real compliment coming from a website designer! :-) As soon as I saw the sample design (A Novel Conundrum), I fell in love with it. To be honest, I did very little once I had chosen the design beyond choosing a font, font size, etc. It's good to know that it's pleasing to the eye and easy to read.

Thanks for adding me to your friends list. I don't know much about John Barrowman or house-owning, but that's okay. I certainly like LotR and Doctor Who well enough. And as you've probably already seen, I go off on some pretty strange tangents myself. If anything, I should ask you to be patient with me! *g*

I'm so having that kind of week now! I don't want to work, I don't want to read fic! I think I want to buy things! I never want to buy things! It must be spring! Hey, don't forget about the time change this weekend!

P.S. No, slash stimulates the brain, it only destroys the optic nerve.

It's a little spooky, but I've been having that kind of week too. I don't know if it's because spring has finally sprung, but I've had the hardest time concentrating. And since when have you not wanted to buy things? Or are we talking about wanting to buy practical things that fall outside the realm of geekdom? *g*

Thanks for the reminder about the time change this weekend. I keep forgetting about it! I'd blame the slash, but I'd prefer to accept your theory that it stimulates the brain...even if it does destroy the optic nerve.
