Writing is Freakin' Hard!

Although I realized this a long time ago, I think it bears repeating. Writing is freakin' hard. I don't mean hard as in difficult or challenging. I mean hard as in the consistency of the wall I keep bashing my head against. That would be metaphorical head bashing, not literal head bashing. If I had been bashing my head literally, I probably wouldn't be sitting here right now. Anyway, to make this analogy a little less painful, I'll just say that writing is pretty damn frustrating sometimes. No, make that fucking frustrating sometimes. Hmm...that's better. I think that could work.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Do you see what I mean? Even writing about writing is hard! Of course, I suppose it could just be me. For example, I decided to hold a writing marathon this weekend in the hope of finishing my Reed/Hayes AU Slash Saga From Hell. I knew this wasn't likely to happen, so I was aiming to just write as much as humanly possible. I've managed to finish about 1 & 1/2 scenes since Friday night, which is more realistic in Rusty Armour terms but still absolutely pathetic. Okay, I did go off on this weird tangent and had to cross out three pages in my notebook before I was back on track again, but... *Sigh* No wonder I've been working on this fucking thing since September 2004.

Well, as my mood icon indicates, I am determined. Yes, determined to finish this god-damn fic by the end of next weekend -- sooner if at all possible. I now only have about three more scenes to write and at least one of those scenes will be short. Yes, I'll do it...or go insane trying!

If I do succeed in finishing the rough draft then I'm sure you'll hear all about it, so be forewarned.

LOL! Oh, is that what "toot sweet" means? *g* Okay, I'm going to try my darndest. I got a tiny amount of writing done last night, but then I realized that I'd messed up something and had to go back and fix it. Grrrr...I'm hoping that tonight will be more productive.

Yup, and people think it's an easy way to make a living! I have done a little bit more on both my threesome fic and ummm...actually the second work is also a threesome fic (but not fandom based). Huh, I appear to have a threesome thang. Who knew?

Surprisingly, I was unaware of the fact that you appear to have a threesome thang. I mean, I knew about some of those other skeletons in your fetish closet, but the threesome thang just didn't occur to me. Colour me duh. *g*
