Olympic Boycott: Day Four

This morning, I dragged myself out of bed, showered, didn't watch the Olympics (though I did watch BT), ate breakfast, got ready for work, managed not to miss the 8:20 bus from Finch, listened to two co-workers talking about the big Phelps race on the walk from the bus stop to work, and then sat down in my cubicle and proceeded to lose myself in daydreams and pretend that I wasn't at work. Actually, compared to last week (when I had to take over someone else's responsibilities while he was on vacation), this week shouldn't be nearly as stressful...I hope!
I didn't sleep as well as I could have as I kept waking up during the night. Because it was unseasonably cool, I actually woke up shivering at one point, which is usually unheard of in August. I also had some very vivid dreams -- possibly because I took a decongestant before going to bed. At one point, Sam Tyler and Gene Hunt put in an appearance, but I can't remember what they did or said. Surprisingly, that aspect of the dream wasn't as strange as the other things that swirled around in my head. It certainly wasn't any stranger than the average episode of Life on Mars, which is probably a good thing! *g*
