Well, it almost did me in, but I finally finished revising Children of the Wheel. At the moment, the revised version is only available at Archive of Our Own, but I'll eventually post it at Gisburne's NASTY Knight Page -- once I move the website...again. Anywaaaaay, as one or two RoS fans expressed an interest in reading Children of the Wheel after the revision, I thought I'd post the link here.

Surprisingly, the story isn't as shitty as I thought it might be, though it was in awful shape before I started editing it. Most of the problems were structural in nature, but there were some embarrassing typos and spelling mistakes. In my defence, I originally wrote Children of the Wheel between 1992 and 1994 and it only received some additional revision around 1998. Fortunately, I think it's in much better condition. I mean, it's probably still obvious that the story was written by a less experienced writer, but I think the reading process should be a lot less painful now. *g*

It's pretty long, so you might just want to give it a quick skim. Either that or read it over several surfing sessions. *g* Well, I hope you enjoy the story if you do decide to take a look. :-)

I read this story thoroughly this time. The first time I read only the parts with Huntingdon.

It's an enjoyable and engrossing story, but aren't you going to finish it? By the looks of it, there should be a happy ending.

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to read the whole thing! :-) It's a pretty long story, so I don't blame you for only reading the Huntingdon parts the first time. I have to confess that I'll often only read the parts of a fic that my favourite character appears in if it's a long story and/or time is an issue.

I'm very happy that you enjoyed the story! :-) I did start writing a sequel, but I never finished it, despite the number of years I worked on it. I'm not sure which character you were thinking of in terms of a happy ending, but I can tell you that it wasn't a happy ending for everyone... *g* Anywaaaay, COTW2 is in horrible shape and I wasn't planning to revise it because it's incomplete and I just don't have any patience and sanity left to tackle the job. However, if you want to see what I did manage to scribble, you can find it here:
