Hey, sublunarfields! I'm glad you found the sketch funny! :-) It's from The Armstrong & Miller Show (http://www.armstrongandmiller.co.uk), though Ben Miller first came to my attention because of Primeval (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primeval).
I'm sorry Primeval hasn't made it on any of your channels, though it may or may not be your kind of show. I was into even before my Ben Miller crush because I just get a kick out of watching prehistoric animals throwing cars, etc. Anyway, here's the BBC America trailer for the show if you're interested:
Oooh! I'm glad you enjoyed the vid too, avictoriangirl! :-) I'm sure I'll feel better soon. I think I heard a rumour about the sun making an appearance on Sunday. If I'm lucky there might even be a teensy bit of sunlight before that...when it isn't raining and/or snowing. *g*
Can't watch the vid here at work, but will do later.
It's okay if you don't watch it, though it's pretty short and very funny. I think you might enjoy it. :-)
I'm sorry you're feeling sad. I hope you feel better soon.
Actually, it's sad as in SAD (seasonal affective disorder) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonal_affective_disorder). I probably should have been more specific in my post. *g* Thankfully, I'm feeling okay at the moment. With any luck, the trend will continue for the rest of the day.
Okay, that was damned funny! It's such stupid joke about blaming the weather person and they took it to its logical conclusion.
Awww...I'm sorry the lack of sunlight has been getting you down. I don't think you're alone in feeling lousy this week. Half my office is sick, the other half is stressed out of their minds, and everyone is finding this week really really longggg!
I'm experiencing the joy of being a woman and developing a cough. Cranky be thine name :) However, I have finally figured out what was wrong with the ending of Redefining Happiness. Thank god!
Congratulations on getting the revisions finished for Children of the Wheel! You are really working AO3! I have yet to do anything with my account except sign up for it!
In return for more Ben Miller, have a link to Johnny Weir's Poker Face Exhibition performance. What? It made me feel better! Granted it's sexy rather than funny, but:
If that doesn't work, I'm sending you a link to David Archuleta making his puppy wave at the camera! You have to be really bad for that however! You risk sugar shock!

It was the phone poll that really got me. That was too funny! :-) I feel kind of guilty for having posted this vid on Ben Miller's birthday considering that he was playing the weatherman. However, it seemed too perfect given the SAD situation, the weather we've been having, etc. I'm sure Ben would forgive me. Maybe. *g*

Oh, I'm sure I'm not. While I seem to keep running across overly cheerful people in my office, I'm sure there are employees who are the opposite. In any case, this week has seriously draaaaaaaged.
I'm experiencing the joy of being a woman and developing a cough. Cranky be thine name :)
I'm sorry about the PMS and the cough. :-( My period is due soon and I think my PMS may have started as well considering that people are pissing me off even more than usual. *g*
However, I have finally figured out what was wrong with the ending of Redefining Happiness. Thank god!
Awesome! I'm glad to hear it! :-) I'm always very relieved and happy when I figure out why something isn't working in a story. I hope the rest of your writing has been going well. I, uh, managed to do some plotting last night in front of the TV... *g*

Thank you! It felt good to finally get that little project out of the way! :-) If it makes you feel any better, I only have one more story that I can post on A03 and I haven't finished writing it yet. I'm sure once you finish your current fic, you'll be posting as well.
In return for more Ben Miller, have a link to Johnny Weir's Poker Face Exhibition performance. What? It made me feel better! Granted it's sexy rather than funny, but:
If that doesn't work, the performance that won him his national title when he was nineteen:

LOL! Why aren't I surprised that you like Johnny Weir? As soon as I saw that picture of him in heels, I thought he must be the Adam Lambert of figure skating! *g* Sadly, I don't think I've actually managed to see Johnny Weir skate, so I'm looking forward to watching these vids. :-)
If that doesn't work, I'm sending you a link to David Archuleta making his puppy wave at the camera! You have to be really bad for that however! You risk sugar shock!
I'm sure the Johnny Weir vids will work, but feel free to send that David Archuleta vid all the same. I might seriously enjoy it in my current state! *g*
Am right there with you. Wish I could cheer the fuck up too!
Am so fed up of grey skies and rain. The weather is as miserable as I am! It's weird bc when I was younger I loved miserable weather-maybe I was happier then ;p

How weird! I used to be the same! I thought it was great when the sky was overcast, but now I usually hate it because it makes me moody and headachey. I wonder why things changed for both of us.
Enjoyed the clip-haven't watched the show before.
I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I think they're going to be doing another series at some point. I know they're going on tour towards the end of 2010. Anywaaaaay, there's a ton of Armstrong & Miller sketches on YouTube if you ever want to see more.
That's funny! I can't say I've seen that program from the BBC. It looks amusing. I must look it up. I hope the sun's out and you're feeling better! If it's any consolation, it's meant to be summer here, but you wouldn't think so!

I'm not sure if the series has been shown outside of Britain. As it moved to BBC One recently, I'm hoping it will be something that will be exported. They've released a DVD in the UK, but I'm not sure when (or if) the show will be available for other regions. If you type in "Armstrong and Miller" in the YouTube search engine, a whole bunch of sketches from the show will pop up. Unfortunately, some have been blocked, but a number of them can be viewed.

The sun was actually out for a bit, which was awesome! And it hasn't snowed today, which is also great! :-) I'm sorry you're not getting a proper summer at the moment. Here's hoping the weather improves soon!
