Despite my better judgment, I grabbed this meme from [livejournal.com profile] radiogaga80.

What was the #1 song the day you were born?

Google the date and #1 song and then post your #1 song on your LJ - preferably with a YouTube vid if you can find one!

As I'm still boycotting Google, I searched on Yahoo and found the #1 Billboard hit. It's TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia) from MSFB, featuring The Three Degrees. I couldn't find a video for the full version of the song on YouTube - just the song itself:

I did find a video (complete with far out dancing) for the shorter version of the song:

Dynomite! Can you dig it? Catch you on the rebound!

Groovy man :-) This is really cool. I googled mine, it's extremely depressing, but it's also a song I quite like. I might have to do this meme.

Yeah, I couldn't resist trying it when I saw it on [livejournal.com profile] radiogaga80's LJ. I'm glad your birth day song was one you like. I'll keep an eye open in case you do decide to try the meme. This is embarrassing, but I don't think I'd even heard of "Song of Philadelphia" before I searched for my birth date, though Three Degrees sounds vaguely familiar.

I just hopped over to your LJ to see whether you had done the meme and what the possible outcome was.
I'm now trying to recover from a very pleasant shock: Nasir AND Dean Winchester?!!!!

PHWROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

LOL, isn't it awesome!!! [personal profile] avictoriangirl made it for me on my birthday last year. I gush over it every time I open LJ. My two hot men in one hit, who wouldn't love it?!

I got "Hey Jude". Which I like, except for the 20 minutes of "nah, na na na na na na" at the end. At least I'd heard of it. I think I'd only heard of one of the #1 songs from my birthday in the 2000's. (Hee -- I'd typed "1000's" the first time . I'm actually more likely to know that music than pop songs from today)

Oh, that's awesome! "Hey Jude" is one of my favourite Beatles songs - even with the "nah nah nah nah". *g*

LOL! Now that would be something: looking up birthday songs from the 1000's! Sadly, I might know more songs from then than the 2000s as well, though my brother tries to keep me current. I've now got the Black Eyed Peas and Lady GaGa on my MP3 player. Oh, and Muse, though I discovered Muse on my own. I don't think my brother likes the group for some insane reason I can't fathom. Stupid brother. *g*
