Despite my better judgment, I grabbed this meme from
What was the #1 song the day you were born?
Google the date and #1 song and then post your #1 song on your LJ - preferably with a YouTube vid if you can find one!
As I'm still boycotting Google, I searched on Yahoo and found the #1 Billboard hit. It's TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia) from MSFB, featuring The Three Degrees. I couldn't find a video for the full version of the song on YouTube - just the song itself:
I did find a video (complete with far out dancing) for the shorter version of the song:
Dynomite! Can you dig it? Catch you on the rebound!

Date: 2010-03-02 03:15 am (UTC)Oh, that's awesome! "Hey Jude" is one of my favourite Beatles songs - even with the "nah nah nah nah". *g*
At least I'd heard of it. I think I'd only heard of one of the #1 songs from my birthday in the 2000's. (Hee -- I'd typed "1000's" the first time . I'm actually more likely to know that music than pop songs from today)
LOL! Now that would be something: looking up birthday songs from the 1000's! Sadly, I might know more songs from then than the 2000s as well, though my brother tries to keep me current. I've now got the Black Eyed Peas and Lady GaGa on my MP3 player. Oh, and Muse, though I discovered Muse on my own. I don't think my brother likes the group for some insane reason I can't fathom. Stupid brother. *g*
