Oh, I have seen the original of this, which is even funnier because the guys performing that one were slightly older and looked eh... (how to say this politely)... like my dad *g* and really had that deadpan expression on their faces. Still... this sketch is a classic! :D
I have to confess that I didn't see the original Morecombe and Wise sketch until after I'd watched the Armstrong & Miller version. As Morecome and Wise wrote the sketch originally then they deserve the lion's share of the praise and recognition. However, in some instances, I preferred the timing from Armstrong & Miller. I also have a massive crush on Ben Miller, so I'm just a teeny bit biased when it comes to the later version of this classic sketch. *g*
