Glasses! I've Got New Glasses! Check Out My New Glasses!

After an embarrassingly long time, I finally got my act together and looked into renewing my prescription and getting new glasses. I think the entire process (from booking an eye exam to picking up my glasses) took about two weeks, which is pretty good considering that the woman at Sears Optical told me it would take 8-10 days for my glasses to come in. It ended up taking about half that time, which is why I was able to pick them up today instead of some time next week. Anywaaaaaay, here's what's allowing me to see sharp edges again:

Those look really nice! I could really use new glasses as well, but I just can't afford to get any. Hopefully the delay won't do permanent harm to my sight.

Thanks, sublunarfields! I'm glad you like them! :-) I really couldn't put off getting a new pair any longer. My eyesight had gotten worse and I know I was suffering from eye strain, which sometimes led to migraines.

I'm sorry you can't get a new pair of glasses yourself. I hope that situation changes in the future. I'm very lucky because my work covers a fairly large chunk of my vision care costs. I was also able to get the glasses for 50% off and have a year to pay for them, though I'm going to get the payment out of the way as soon as possible.

As much as I bitch about my job sometimes, it does have good benefits, such as vision care coverage. :-)
