A Fun Little Meme Exercise

I got tagged for a meme exercise by espirk. Some of you will probably know at least some of these random facts about me. I apologize to those of you who have remained blissfully ignorant up till now. *g*

Rules of the Meme: Write a journal entry for this meme with six random facts about yourself. Then pick six of your friends list and tag them - no tag backs. These rules should be included in your entry.

1. I can swim. Believe it or not, I actually took lessons as a baby. As a teen, I got to the Bronze Medallion level before calling it quits.
2. I was supposed to be born on Hitler's birthday, but was born on his alleged suicide day instead.
3. At one point I had five wisdom teeth.
4. I probably own more books, videos and DVDs on Sherlock Holmes than any other subject.
5. I have a fear of drowning.
6. I supposedly ignored my sister for the first year of her life. I was around two at the time. I think she'll eventually get around to forgiving me.

Yeah, I know it's pretty strange to be able to swim and yet be afraid of drowning. Maybe it stems back to my childhood or something. I know I was once swimming under a raft and almost got trapped when it moved (It was a small out-of-ground pool and the raft took up most of it), but that's about the only semi-traumatizing event I can think of. Maybe I blocked out the real one. *g*

I assumed that just about everyone knew I was a Sherlock Holmes fanatic, but I guess it never came up in conversation for us because we were too busy discussing other fandoms, like The X-Files. I first started reading Sherlock Holmes stories when I was about 13 and I've been hooked on the Great Detective ever since.
