Queensland Flood Auction -- I May Not Be Committing Fic After All

Well, my story didn't receive any bids in the Lightning Round, so I may not end up breaking my pledge (again) and writing fic. I've just offered the same item at the Main Auction (as it seemed only fair), though there's no guarantee I'll have better luck there. I do have more time to collect bids, so maybe that will help. Not that I'll be heart-broken if I don't get any bids. I plan to donate money for the cause either through bids I've placed myself or through a simple donation.

There's a lot being offered in terms of fic and artwork (as well as some other fandom-related items), so I definitely recommend checking out the Auction.

Ah... I was confused as I was looking at the lightening round when you cheered about having a bid. didn't realize that you had placed it two places on the auction.

I think this post was confusing. *g* I wrote it over lunch, so it was kind of a rush job. When I didn't receive any bids through the lightning round, I decided to post my offer at the main auction (with permission from the auction mod). blooms84 placed her bid after I posted the offer at the main auction.

There was no chance BTW, of you escaping this one. Because if all else failed, I was going to bid... though I am more of a Watson girl. Always am, regardless of the version which was a little surprising in the 2009 movie since I am not a Jude Law fan. But there you have it. :)

It's incredibly kind that you were going to bid if no one else did! Thank you! :-) If you had bid and won, I would have happily written a Watson story for you, despite what I said about Lestrade. Usually, I'm a Sherlock girl and not into Lestrade at all. However, they had to go cast Rupert Graves in the role, so many of us have been struck with Lestrade fever now. *g*

BTW, Watson is wonderful in Sherlock. Martin Freeman totally kicks ass in the role. :-)
