[livejournal.com profile] crimsoncorundum has been kind enough to share her knowledge of iPod Touch and other IOS devices in her most recent LJ entry. She covers quite a few topics, including free e-book apps and the pros and cons of certain e-book readers. I'll fully admit that I'm still a hopeless newbie when it comes to iPod Touch, but I think even seasoned users might learn something they didn't know before. It's also great if you're thinking of buying an e-book reader, or would like more information on the subject in general. Anywaaaaaay, here's [livejournal.com profile] crimsoncorundum's most excellent post:

Nice ithought, but it seems to be friend locked.

I'm a recent convert to Stanza as my ebook reader. Why? Cos it let's you download from AO3. Plus, it's easy to use.

Do you have a favourite?

*Smacks forehead* Sincerest apologies. I didn't realize the post was f-locked. I swear that I've got to pay more attention when I link to people's posts. *g* I've asked [livejournal.com profile] crimsoncorundum if she would consider making the post public. If that isn't possible then I'm hoping that she'll let me send you a copy of the post.

Yeah, Stanza is awesome for that very reason. I love being able to download fic from AO3, especially as you can do so without having a wireless connection for your Touch.

Do you have a favourite?

To be honest, I've barely had any time to play with the Touch, which is mostly my own fault. In my defence, I've had it less than two weeks. Still...Maybe once I finish what I truly hope will be my last fic (for at least a few months). That might free up a bit of time. *g*

Don't stress about the post. I don't really do much reading on my touch, but thanks for the thought.

I love my touch for games. I was quite addicted to Cluedo there for awhile. And that unblock me game. So hard sometimes! And the hangman one is fun too! Cute little animations.

The touch is pretty easy to figure out, so you'll definitely have no problems. I guess that's why the iPod range is so popular - because it's so easy to use.

No worries. She said she didn't realize she had f-locked the post. You should be able to read it now. :-)

Ooooh! I'll have to check out Cluedo some time. My whole family would get a kick out of that game. :-)

Yes, the touch does seem pretty easy to use. Okay, I couldn't figure out how to connect to my parents' wireless connection, but that was my own fault. Other than that, it's been really good. I just need to find more time to play with it. Might also help if I went somewhere with a wireless connection (like a coffee shop).
