Say NO to ACTA

I grabbed this link off avictoriangirl's LJ and said I would spread the word. The Just Say ‘No’ to ACTA campaign is trying to get 250,000 signatures for its petition. There were 222,436 signatures last time I checked. I honestly don't know if this will make a difference, but I figure it can't hurt. Signing the petition takes all of ten seconds. I've signed it as a good cause, but I don't think an online petition that doesn't ask for your surname or email verification will have much clout. :-(

Yeah, I have to confess that I have some misgivings about the petition as well. However, as it didn't take much time or effort to plug it, I figured it couldn't hurt. It did reach its target of 250,000 signatures and is now aiming for 500,000.
