My period snuck up on me this morning. The little bitch actually managed to take me by surprise. I woke up and wondered What the fuck is wrong with me now? Then I thought that there was something kind of familiar about the whole thing. A few seconds after that, it occurred to me that it might be menstruation and not, say, some other gynecological condition.

Usually, I know my period is coming because I'm psychotic. However, I missed the warning signs because I thought they were something else. I took my moodiness as being the products of a cold, guilt about my parents, and possibly SAD as it is February. In fact, I didn't think my period would be coming for at least another week, though I've totally blanked on when I last had it. I'd check my LJ, but I've made a point of not writing entries during that time of the month after my last PMS rant...Oooops. Sorry. But, hey, at least I'll have a way of keeping track of my cycle next month. *g*

make that you and everyone else with access to your LJ. *EG*

BTW... Always (of the bandages) has this new commercial slogan here, "Have a happy period" - I'm CONVINCED a man must have come up with that one!

I know. It's horrible, isn't it? I wonder if anyone ever writes to the company to complain about it. I would have thought they'd take it off the air if enough women complained.

I hate that commercial too. It *must* have been a man who came up with that slogan.

Yeah, I had a happy period once. It was when I thought I might be pregnant and didn't want to be. That is the one and only time I was ever happy to see the damnable thing.

Yes, only a man could be that clueless, though it must be a man who doesn't know a lot of women. Most men seem to understand that periods are a BAD thing. *g*

LOL! Yes, I would imagine it was an ecstatic period! *VBG*

Uh oh...I hadn't thought of that. I guess if everyone disappears on me this time next month, I'll know why! ;-)

Either a man or a woman who's found some kind of wonder drug that alleviates all the woes of menstruation. However, I would have thought that the same woman would cash in on such a miracle cure, so I suspect you're right: a man did come up with that ludicrous slogan.
